Symphony Wave Power (SWP) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ONE-DYAS B.v. to advance testing of its wave energy technology and explore the integration of wave energy converters into offshore power systems. The project, targeted for 2027, aims to provide clean, autonomous electricity to offshore infrastructure operated by ONE-Dyas B.V. in the Dutch sector of the North Sea.
ONE-Dyas B.V. is exploring ways to reduce emissions and operating costs at sea through technical innovation. The agreement follows a joint feasibility study completed in 2024 and represents the next step toward operational testing and deployment on future greenfield developments post-2027.
โThis MoU marks a strategic milestone for Symphony,โ said Sander Poppes, CEO. โIt demonstrates market traction for wave energy in one of our core segmentsโoffshore industrial powerโand validates the relevance of our technology under North Sea conditions.โ
The project will serve as a platform for performance data, engineering refinement, and future scaling. For investors, it signals early customer commitment, a growing pipeline, and tangible progress toward commercialization.
Discussions with additional partners in offshore wind and island energy systems are ongoing, with Symphony Wave Power aiming to secure multiple pilot projects before entering full commercial rollout.
